Wildcat Athletics

Spring Sports are coming up soon! Our spring offerings include Boys Volleyball, Co-ed Ultimate Frisbee, Co-ed Golf, and Track. If your student is interested in participating in any of these sports, they must attend sign ups which will be held in room 905 (Ms. Scott's room) at lunch. Please be sure they bring a working parent email. Additionally, if they are going to miss sign ups, please have students email or visit Ms. Scott for the link.

 

Sign ups will be on the following dates: 


-Boys Volleyball - Thursday, 2/22 (Open to all grade levels)

-Co-ed Ultimate Frisbee - Friday, 2/23 (Open to all grade levels)

-Co-ed Golf - Thursday, 3/1 (Open to all grade levels)

-Track- No sign ups, first practice/ info session will be on the blacktop on Wednesday, March 20th (Open to all grade levels).

 

Please be sure to remind your students to listen to the daily announcements (on the school intercom) for information about dates, times, and locations for sign ups. If you have any further questions, please reach out to the Athletic Director, Claire Scott, at [email protected].

 
How do I join a sport at Stanley?
1. Students must attend sports sign ups on the designated date (see individual sports pages for details). 
2. If the sport requires a tryout (some do not), those dates and other information will be given at sign ups. Reminders for sign up and tryout dates will also be given on the morning announcements (over the intercom) and are located on the individual sports pages. 
3. Registration packets, which will be filled out by parents/guardians, will be given to students after they have made or officially joined a team.

Financial Aid

Students who are eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch may receive financial aid for the following:

  • Yearbook
  • After-school Sports
  • Wildcats on Stage
  • End-of-Year Activities, including field trips
  • Other school-related activities 
 

If you think you may be eligible for financial assistance, please find more information about Lafayette School District’s Free and Reduced Meal Program (as well as the application) on our district website (visit link here).  Please note that all students enrolled in the Lafayette School District may receive breakfast and lunch free of charge each day, whether or not they are eligible for Free and Reduced meals.  If you have questions about the program or financial aid, please speak to your school counselor or an administrator.

Our mission for Stanley Sports is to create an inclusive and fun environment where students can build on their athletic foundations and become well rounded student-athletes. In addition to skill building, we also hope to build leadership and sportsmanship qualities in our students.

  ATHLETIC              PARTICIPATION

   All students participating in the athletic programs at Stanley Middle School must adhere to the following requirements:

• Have a 2.0 GPA in the grading period prior to participation.

• Maintain a 2.0 GPA during the season and/or activity.

•  Maintain good sportsmanship and attendance throughout the season.
